JSJ Plumbing is a full-service family-0wned & operated plumbing company. Billy began learning the plumbing trade at the age of 12 when he started working with his stepfather during the summer months & on school breaks. With the guidance of his stepfather he helped to plumb new homes, to repair existing plumbing systems & installed sewer & water lines. When he graduated from high school he decided to continue the plumbing trade by attending plumbing school while working for Kane Plumbing in Richmond, VA as an apprentice. Billy obtained his Master Plumber & Gas Piping Certifications while working full-time for Kane Plumbing.
Billy married his wife Lisa in 1990. After starting a family 1994, Billy accepted a job with Foster Plumbing to further advance his plumbing career. At Foster, he was a lead plumber running jobs on his own with the help of an apprentice plumber. However, as their family continued to grow & the construction field became more volatile, Billy applied for a position with Henrico County as a plumbing inspector. After working with the County for 7 years & seeing the work of other plumbers, he decided he missed the hands-on work & wanted to head back into the field.
In 2003 Billy & Lisa took a leap of faith & started their own plumbing business, naming it after their three children: Jessica, Samantha & Jack. Billy worked in the field on mostly new construction with some service work. Lisa worked in the office as the bookkeeper while continuing to work as a legal assistant/office manager at a law firm in Richmond. As Billy’s business took off, Lisa took an even bigger leap of faith & left her job in Richmond to work full-time for their family business the summer of 2004. Today they continue to work together; Billy in the field, Lisa in the office & their son Jack, currently a high school senior, is learning the trade & working alongside Billy in the field.

Ryan Ward, Field Operations Manager, 1st Choice Electrical Inc. – As a Master Electrician and Field Operations Manager for 1st Choice Electrical, Inc. I have over 15 years of experience performing work on commercial, industrial, and Federal Government projects. My experience includes direct customer coordination for the implementation of the design and integration of electrical and low voltage lighting control and automation systems. To include, print analysis, job layouts (new construction and renovations), provisioning subcontractor leadership and coordination. Analyzing and documenting project progression and resolving schedule conflicts. Ensuring all quality assurance methods are enacted and maintained as standard operation procedures. Also, adhering to all installation specifications issued by the owner.
